531 Péridot Chanel

Hello!

I just went to pick up Péridot by Chanel and I must say I really love this color. It looks more gold on my fingers then on the photos I saw on the internet but I love it.
I took some quick pictures. I'm not a pro when it comes to nailpolish and doing my manicure but I wanted to share these pictures with you. I realize I need to update my skills for applying nailpolish :).

It's the fourth Chanel nailpolish in my collection.

I tend to wear a lot of green and I think Péridot will look pretty with those outfits.

What do you think of it?

Some outfits from my holiday in Turkey

Last month I went to Turkey with my sister. I wasn't sure if I was gonna post pictures from this holiday on my blog because I usually don't wear a lot of special clothes on vacation :). I made a selection from three of my daytime looks and three of the looks I chose to wear in the evening. I just realize that I mostly have photos of where I am sitting in the evening.

I'll start with the daytime looks. I will put underneath every photo what I'm wearing.

This is what I wore to the jeep safari.
Bershka top - Vero moda short - Roxy bikini - Marc by marc jacobs flats

Random day at the swimming pool.
Bananamoon tunic and matching Bananamoon bikini - Havaianas slim prisma in pink

A day at the beach.
Dolce & Gabbana top - Mexx skirt

Some of my outfits at night:

First evening.
Liu Jo tunic - H&M earrings

Ready to go to the Italian restaurant.
Essentiel skirt - Espresso white top - H&M earrings

Last evening in Turkey.

Shoplog 03082011

I'v been away for a while now, mostly because of my exams and my holliday. But I also had to figure some things out.

The day before yesterday morning I rushed myself to Tongeren because I spotted an amazing pair of Tory Burch ballerina's there. It was hard to decide about what pair to take but I went for a classic pair. You can see them below in this post.

Yesterday afternoon me and my sister went shopping with my sister-in-law in Hasselt. As you can see in the photos I bought some hair accessoires and a sleeping accessoire :). I sleep ten times better when I use one of these masks :). I bought everything at six. Apart from the two little bows which I got at H&M. I also bought a lipbutter at the bodyshop that was on sale.

Now my shoes. I saw these on a saturday evening when I was walking around in Tongeren watching windows and I said to my boyfriend that I had to come back to fit them. So I did and I loved them. They feel very comfortable to wear.

What do you think about the stuff I bought?

Exams

Hi everyone,

Last Friday I started to study for my final exams. I already had one exam on Monday. I will be very busy in the next few weeks so I will not have time to post on my blog. If I pass these exams I will be finally graduated. So I really want to study hard. I also have my thesis which I have to defend next week. I'm a bit nervous about that.
I do have plans for after the exams. I will start posting on a more regular basis then. I think I will also do outfit posts.

Last week I bougt two pieces of jewellery. A ring and a pair of earrings. A friend of mine makes these jewels. I wanted to wear them with my blue dress. I already tried it on and it's very beautiful. I understand this is not everyone's style but I really like them.

This is a picture of how the earrings look while wearing them :):

If you want you can follow me on twitter

To everyone else with exams: good luck!
I will soon be writing again :)

NEW Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer SPF15

Hey!

Last Friday I went for a little shopping break with my mom. I went to pick up my dress I bought last week at Olivier Strelli. I also went to buy the h&m necklace you’ve already seen with Sofie and Hanne.
The next stop we made was at Ici Paris XL. We bought the NEW Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer SPF15. I took shade 3. Last week my mom and I already went to the ICI Paris to buy this product but it wasn't available yet so the nice saleslady gave us a little sample to try it.

Clinique describes it as: “Smooth on an instant moisture boost with SPF protection and a hint of skin-perfecting colour. Refreshingly lightweight formula provides a no-makeup look and feel, yet covers imperfections with a natural, hydrating touch. Oil-free.”

Normally I use the superbalanced makeup foundation but I was looking for something lighter to use in summer. I must say I really like this new product! No need to wear a daycream underneath it. Although I must say I have a greasy T-zone and dry cheeks, so I put some Youth Surge SPF 15 Age Decelerating Moisturizer on my cheeks to avoid dry skin. The Clinique website also says it's a great product to use after the three step skincare.

What is my first impression?

It has a light coverage, so it looks quite natural. But it gives enough coverage to get rid of little imperfections. I must admit that I used a little bit powder to finish my look. What I really loved about this product is that didn’t have a shiny T-zone at the end of the night.
I think I will buy this product again and it will become one of my favorite products this summer.

Do you use Clinique products? Which products do you own?

BTW I actually meant to take photo's of the product but I forgot my camera at home :s

Restaurants in Hasselt

Dear readers,

Sorry for the lack of updates but I have the final deadline for my thesis next week so I have to work very hard right now. Plus I have exams right after the deadline.

I leave you with 2 pictures made in one of my favorite restaurants in Hasselt: Café Latino
I really advise you the strawberry daiquiri. I also love the nacho's latino as a starter (first picture). We only take this when we're with a lot of people :). As you can see you get quite much. It's quite spicy so if you don't like that, don't order it ;).

This is the Latino mix, one of my favorite dishes on the menu. It's a combination of spicy chicken, a spicy taco and sweet ribs.

Enjoy this sunny day!

Yellow and pink - Part II

A couple of weeks ago I went to check out the essentiel flash collection. Me and my sister both bought a cardigan, so we got two shades of nailpolish. I chose the yellow one and my sister chose the pink one.
When I got back home I was a bit in doubt about my choice of nailpolish but I already had some pink nailpolishes so I wanted to try something else :).
I have to wait until I get more tanned for using this nailpolish and than I will show the result to you guys.

Hasselt - Part I - Shoes

Hi everyone!

In this post I will post about some of my favorite places in my hometown Hasselt.
Today I'll start with mentioning the places where you can shop for shoes. In the future I will also do a post on my favorite boutiques and restaurants.

My alltime favorite shoe-shop in Hasselt is La Bottega. They are situated in the Paardsdemerstraat 7 - 11 and the Raamstraat 23.
I always find something there. Actually I buy most of my shoes there. They have lots of brands and good quality shoes.
Brands they sell are: A.F. Vandevorst, River Woods, Marc Jacobs, Birkenstock, Miss Sixty, Scapa, Frida, Camper,… and lots more. Online you can find a list of all the brands they have and pictures of almost every shoe they sell. You can also make online reservations if you want to be certain of getting the pair of shoes you like.
The staff is really friendly and they always help very well. I love the fact that you can just walk around in this shoe-paradise without anyone asking you “can I help you?” too soon.
When you see a pair of shoes you’re interested in you can call a saleslady and she will help you with your size.
It might be nice to know that they also have a section of shoes for ladies with bigger feet, like size 42. They also sell handbags, accessories and clothes so it’s hard to go there without buying anything.

Another nice shop is Bethsabee in the Kapelstraat 36. The sell more expensive shoes and handbags like for example Dior, Gucci, Miu Miu, Prada,…
I never bought any shoes there but I love to look at the shop display and see what they’re offering. My boyfriend once bought me a nice little Gucci bag over there.
They also have a Bethsabee Outlet at the Havermarkt 34. I’ve been here a few times and the prices are good. You have to be lucky enough to find a pair in your size, but actually there is a lot of choice.
Opening hours of the outlet are:
- monday 14-18h
- thursday 11-18h
- friday 11-18h
- saturday 11-18h

Hope you liked this post!

To color or not to color?

Hi Everyone!

I’m thinking about letting my hair grow out. I’m so tired of going to a hair salon, and sitting there for hours, every few months. Plus it’s quite expensive to color my hair, since I don’t color it entirely but I take highlights in different colors. Next year I’ll start to work and I won’t be getting the student discount anymore. I started thinking about all the great clothes I could buy with this money :). I do like getting my hair cut every two months but the coloring takes such a long time.

Besides that I’ve noticed that the blonde really damages my hair. I’m so jealous at people who have nice and shiny hair. Six years ago I decided not to color my hair anymore, so I had my natural colour back. But after a few months I was tempted to color it again, which I really regret now because my hair has never looked more shiny than during that period.

This is my haircolor at the moment

The thing I don’t like about growing my hair out is that my my roots will be darker than the ends. So I’m still doubting about growing my hair out. What do you think? Has any of you ever done this before?
My natural colour is dark blonde but it gets lighter in summer. Do you think it would suit me?
By the way don't mind the picture. It's one of the few pictures I have showing my haircolor.

Tell me your opinion!

H&M Conscious collection

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I went to H&M to check out the Conscious collection. I bought two pieces. A t-shirt and a top.
At first I wanted to buy the t-shirt in white but it had a stain on it and there was no other xs left so I decided to take the beige t-shirt. The top is perfect to wear with my grey blazer.

These are the pictures from the h&m website

I wanted this short at first but I decided not to take it home with me.

Did you bought something from the conscious collection?

Yellow & Pink

Last year in February I went to Paris with my boyfriend and I ended up buying a black pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs flats and two beautiful beach bags in the Marc by Marc Jacobs store.

At first I only bought the pair of flats for myself and the pink bag as a present to my sister. I thougt about buying a second bag for myself, but I decided not to and I went to pay for my flats and the pink bag.
But as soon as we got on the subway to visit the rest of Paris, I started telling my boyfriend that I should have bought a second bag for myself. So the next day we took the subway again and I went to buy the second bag. When I got to the store lots of these bags were already sold out and I was only able to choose between the yellow, the green and the blue bag. So I took the yellow one.

I didn’t use them a lot last summer because they were kind of flashy and hard to combine. Luckily this summer is all about flashy colors so I guess I’m gonna use them a lot this year. I must admit that these bags aren’t appropriate for every occasion but I still love them.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Marc by Marc Jacobs brand. And I’ve been able to collect four different pieces of this brand over the last year. I hope I can expand my collection in de next years but I think this can’t be a problem with the new Marc by Marc Jacobs store coming to Brussels.

I'm often the person that needs to think twice before buying something. Just like I did with this yellow bag. I often fit clothes a couple of times before buying them. It's just a habit of me and it keeps me from wasting my money. Are you an impulsive shopper or do you also think twice?

Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures but I don't have a decent camera yet.
Thank you for checking my blog.

Lush Little Green Bag

Hey Everyone,
This will be my first post on this blog.
Thanks to a contest on lushious beauty I was able to win a little green bag by Lush! There were five products inside of the bag and it was wrapped in a Furoshiki scarve. I can't wait to test the products because they smell delicious. It will be the first time I use Lush products.

The bag contains the following products:
- The Jungle Solid Conditioner (55g)
- The Squeaky Green Shampoo bar (55g)
- The Mini Sugar Scrub (50g)
- The Sea Vegetable Soap (100g)
- The Each Peach and Two's a Pair Massage Bar (20g) (I also got a little tin for the massage bar)

I already used the massagebar once and I'm sure that next time when I enter a Lush shop I will buy a new one. I love the fact that you can use it whenever you want without getting greasy hands.

I came across this funny video about this bag.

I will put photos of the products in my reviews.
I hope you all liked my first post and I also wanted to ask you which are your favorite lush products?

The beginning

Hi everyone!

I started this blog because of my interest in fashion and beauty. I have been playing with this idea for a while now and I finally had the courage to do this.

I hope you will enjoy my writings and I can't wait to write my first real post.
For the moment I don't have the intention to write every day because I'm a student and I have to finish my master thesis this year.

Thanks for reading my blog!
